ANNA Supports Congressional Effort to Curb Violence Against Health Care and Social Service Workers
The American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA) proudly supports the reintroduction of the bipartisan Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
Introduced by Rep. Joe Courtney (D-CT), Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE), and Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), this legislation compels the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to develop an enforceable standard to ensure that employers are creating safe workplaces that their employees deserve, sooner rather than later.
